The devil won’t come to you growling with a red face and rugged horns. He comes to you in subtle ways to catch you off guard. The devil comes to you disguised as everything you’ve ever wanted. Everything you ever sought to have. Everything you felt you deserved. You know everything you’ve always wanted, sought ever, thought you deserved. So does the devil. On this SPIRITUAL WORKOUT WEDNESDAY, remind yourself that the devil is clever. He knows how to attract us without us even realizing it. He knows the desires of our hearts before we even acknowledge them. He knows how to trap us from the inside out.  Pray, "Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, O Prince of the Heave...

When suffering, pause, When tempted, pause, When doubtful, pause. When angry, pause. When hurried, pause. When afraid, pause. When overwhelmed, pause. When hurt, pause. When sad, pause. On this SPIRITUAL WORKOUT WEDNESDAY , practice the power of the pause. A pause is a brief stop, an interruption. It can allow you time to restart, reboot, and redirect your thinking and energy. It’s a powerful way to lift up your heart to God and say a prayer. Practice the pause; pray a prayer.
