PRAYER OF UNKNOWING

Image
WEDNESDAY WORKOUT A Midweek Spiritual Workout with Fr. Marino H. Msigala, OFM Capuchin PRAYER OF UNKNOWING My Lord God, I have no idea where I am going. I do not see the road ahead of me. I cannot know for certain where it will end. I don't really know myself, and just because I think I am following Your will does not mean that I am actually doing so.   But I believe that the desire to please You does, in fact, please You. I have that desire in all that I am doing. I hope that I will never do anything apart from that desire.   And I know that if I do this, You will lead me by the right road, though I may know nothing about it.   Therefore, I will trust You always, though I may seem to be lost and in the shadow of death.   I will not fear, for You are ever with me, and You will never leave me to face my perils alone.   You are my rock, my anchor, and my reassurance at all times, especially when I have no idea where I am going and cannot see th

WHAT’S THE PASSWORD FOR CONNECTING TO GOD?

Image
WORKOUT WEDNESDAY A Midweek Spiritual Workout with Fr. Marino H. Msigala, OFM Capuchin WHAT’S THE PASSWORD FOR CONNECTING TO GOD?   When God created fish, He spoke to the sea. When God created trees, He spoke to the earth, When God created man, He turned to Himself. Then, God said, “Let Us make man in Our image and likeness.”   If you take a fish out of water, it will die. If you remove a tree from the soil, it will also die. Likewise, when men and women are disconnected from God, they will die. God is our natural environment. We were created to live in His presence. We have to be connected to Him because it is only in Him that life exists.   We recall that water without fish is still water, But fish without water are nothing. Soil without trees is still soil, But trees without soil are nothing. God without man is still God, But man without God is nothing.   On this  SPIRITUAL WORKOUT WEDNESDAY,  know that we are nothing without God. Reme

Image
WORKOUT WEDNESDAY A Midweek Spiritual Workout with Fr. Marino H. Msigala, OFM Capuchin IF YOU DON’T KNOW, MAKE IT A PRAYER Did you know there’s a prayer called the “I DON’T KNOW” prayer? Just go somewhere quiet And sit at the feet of God And say, “I don’t know.”   I don’t know where to go from here. I don’t know what is happening. I don’t know how to process this. I don’t know what to do with these feelings. I don’t know how to handle this situation. I don’t know if I can survive this. I don’t know when things will change for me. I don’t know how things will end up. I don’t know if there is any help for me. I don’t know if anyone cares about me. On this  SPIRITUAL WORKOUT WEDNESDAY, if you know that God knows, say “Amen.” That’s all there is to it!
