“Prayer is the best weapon we have; it is the key to God’s heart. You must speak to Jesus not only with your lips but with your heart. In fact, on certain occasions, you should only speak to Him with your heart.”

“Pray, hope, and don’t worry. Worry is useless. God is merciful and will hear your prayer.”

On this SPIRITUAL WORKOUT WEDNESDAY, pray as if everything depends on God; work as if everything depends on you. Prayer and work go hand-in-hand. Your hand in God’s hand.


Fr. Marino H. Msigala, O.F.M. Capuchin was born in Kibakwe, Mpwapwa, Dodama Tanzania, Africa, on January 23, 1978. He was ordained to the Ministerial Priesthood on July 12, 2012, by Archbishop Gervas John M. Nyaisonga. Following his service as Pastor in his home country of Tanzania, Father was commissioned to the Capuchin Franciscan Province of St. Augustine in Pittsburgh, PA, where he was assigned studies and pastoral duty at Immaculate Conception Church in Dudley, PA. After he completed his Master's Degree at Villanova University, Father was reassigned to serve as chaplain and pastoral care at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. He completed his ministry there and returned to Tanzania on May 7, 2024.

No one goes through life without experiencing fear. Fear contributes positively to defending (or at least warning) us against danger. However, if not managed, fear can weigh us down, knock us out, hold us back, destroy our peace of mind, force us to withdraw, and rob our hearts of happiness. LOSS, LOVE, GRATITUDE

Msigala, OFM Capuchin LOSS, LOVE, GRATITUDE During November, we mourn the loss of loved ones, but we also celebrate their lives and what they meant to us in our own lives. We are grateful for those who walked beside us and continue to do so even after they’re gone from our sight. We believe in the afterlife. We believe we will meet again. We mourn their loss, but we are thankful for the love we shared. Today, take a moment to think of family and friends who have gone before us.  On this Spiritual Workout Wednesday,  let’s pray for each one with special fervor and celebrate their lives in the knowledge that someday we will be together again.
