WORKOUT WEDNESDAY A Midweek Spiritual Workout with Fr. Marino H. Msigala, OFM Capuchin   IF YOU…THEN YOU… If you have food in your fridge, Clothes on your back, A roof over your head And a place to sleep, Then you are richer than 75% of the entire world. If you have money in the bank, some in your wallet, And a little spare change Then you are among the top 8% of the world’s wealthy. If you woke up this morning with more health than illness, Then you are more blessed than the million people Who are sick and will die this week. If you can read and understand this message, Then you are more fortunate than the 3 billion people In the world, who cannot read it at all. If you have never experienced the danger of battle, The agony of imprisonment or torture, Or the horrible pangs of starvation, Then you are luckier than the 500 million people who have suffered them. I AM A CHRISTIAN BUT…

Image
WORKOUT WEDNESDAY A Midweek Spiritual Workout with Fr. Marino H. Msigala, OFM Capuchin   I AM A CHRISTIAN BUT… I often judge others… I gossip about others… I am impatient and impulsive… I fail to trust God’s plan for my life… I sometimes become angry with others… I am bitter about past regrets… I find it difficult to forgive myself and others… I am jealous of others’ success… I don’t pray enough… I am not generous to others… On this SPIRITUAL WORKOUT WEDNESDAY , remember that being a Christian doesn’t mean you’re perfect. It does mean you are striving. It does mean you are living in hope. It does mean God will give you His grace, and that is sufficient for you.

AN ATHEIST’S VIEW OF LIFE

Image
WORKOUT WEDNESDAY A Midweek Spiritual Workout with Fr. Marino H. Msigala, OFM Capuchin AN ATHEIST’S VIEW OF LIFE I will live my life according to these beliefs God does not exist It is just foolish to think That there is a God with a cosmic plan That an all-powerful God brings redemption and healing to the pain and suffering in the world Is a comforting thought, however It Is only wishful thinking People can do as they please without eternal consequences The idea that I am deserving of Hell Because of sin Is a lie meant to make me a slave to those in power “The more you have, the happier you will be” Our existence has no grand meaning or purpose In a world with no God There is freedom to be who I want to be But with God Everything is fine It is ridiculous to think I am lost and in need of saving. On this SPIRITUAL WORKOUT WEDNESDAY , learn what a Christian’s view of life is. Reread the statement above, but this time, read it from the bo

3 WAYS TO UNDERSTAND LIFE

Image
WORKOUT WEDNESDAY A Midweek Spiritual Workout with Fr. Marino H. Msigala, OFM Capuchin   3 WAYS TO UNDERSTAND LIFE To understand what life is, you have to visit 3 locations: Visit a hospital, And you will understand that nothing is more important, more beautiful, more necessary, more desirable than good health. Visit a prison, And you will see that freedom is the best, most important, most precious, most desirable, most meaningful thing in the world. Visit a cemetery, And you will realize that life is temporary and fleeting, and it is only the good that we have done with our lives that will gain our eternal happiness. On this SPIRITUAL WORKOUT WEDNESDAY , let us pray for the sick, visit the imprisoned, and pray for the dead, knowing that but for the grace of God, we might be hospitalized or imprisoned. Let’s also remember that although our temporary life will end, we live in the hope of eternal life with God in heaven.
