A HALF DOZEN PROMISES FROM GOD

God’s promises never fail. — Joshua 21:45: “Not one of all the Lord’s good      promises to Israel failed; everyone was fulfilled.”

God keeps His promises.  — Deuteronomy 7:9: “Know that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God who keeps his gracious covenant loyalty for a thousand generations with those who love him and keep his commands.”

God is always good. — Psalm 119:68: “You are good and do good. Teach me your statutes.” 

God is always with me — Joshua 1:9: “This is my command: be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

God is faithful — Hebrews 10:23: “Let us hold on to the confession of our hope without wavering, since He who promised is faithful.”


God has a plan for my life — Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

On this SPIRITUAL WORKOUT WEDNESDAY, remember that God has made and has faithfully kept hundreds of promises to us, His people. What promise have you made to God? Have you kept that promise? If not, why not? It is never too late to renew your promise and begin again.

Fr. Marino H. Msigala, OFM Capuchin was born in Kibakwe, Mpwapwa, Dodama Tanzania, Africa, on January 23, 1978. He was ordained to the Ministerial Priesthood on July 12, 2012, by Archbishop Gervas John M. Nyaisonga. Following his service as Pastor in his home country of Tanzania, Father was commissioned to the Capuchin Franciscan Province of St. Augustine in Pittsburgh, PA, where he was assigned to Immaculate Conception Church in Dudley, PA. Father currently serves as chaplain and pastoral care at West Penn Hospital in Bloomfield, Pittsburgh PA. He completed his ministry there and returned to Tanzania on May 7, 2024.
