JUST A THOUGHT

Image
WORKOUT WEDNESDAY A Midweek Spiritual Workout with Fr. Marino H. Msigala, OFM Capuchin JUST A THOUGHT When you get What YOU want That’s God’s DIRECTION .   When you don’t get What YOU want That’s God’s PROTECTION. God answers every prayer. He says, “Yes.” He says, “No.” He says, “Not yet.” He says, “Wait.” He says, “Are you kidding Me?”   On this  SPIRITUAL WORKOUT WEDNESDAY, think about the prayers you prayed. Do you think they were answered? How were they answered? Consider whether you received God’s DIRECTION or God’s PROTECTION .

WHAT IS LIFE?

WORKOUT WEDNESDAY A Midweek Spiritual Workout with Fr. Marino H. Msigala, OFM Capuchin WHAT IS LIFE? “Life is an opportunity; benefit from it. Life is a beauty; admire it. Life is bliss; taste it. Life is a dream; realize it. Life is a challenge; meet it. Life is a duty; complete it. Life is a game; play it. Life is costly; care for it. Life is wealth; keep it. Life is love; enjoy it. Life is a mystery; know it. Life is a promise; fulfill it. Life is a sorrow; overcome it. Life is a song; sing it. Life is a struggle; accept it. Life is a tragedy; confront it. Life is an adventure; dare it. Life is luck; make it. Life is precious; do not destroy it. Life is Life, fight for it.” ~ St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta On this Spiritual Workout Wednesday, ask yourself what life is to you. How much do you value life? Why do you value life? What do you do to make the best of the life you have? How can you make your life better for yourself and others?

DO YOU WANT TO FAST THIS LENT?

Image
WORKOUT WEDNESDAY A Midweek Spiritual Workout with Fr. Marino H. Msigala, OFM Capuchin DO YOU WANT TO FAST THIS LENT? In the words of Pope Francis   Fast from hurting words and say kind words. Fast from sadness and be filled with joy. Fast from anger and be filled with patience. Fast from pessimism and be filled with hope. Fast from worries and have trust in God. Fast from complaints and pursue gratitude. Fast from pressure and be peaceful. Fast from bitterness and be content. Fast from selfishness and be of service to others. Fast from grudges and be reconciled. Fast from speaking, be silent, and listen. Fast from all that is not of God and rest in His embrace. On this  SPIRITUAL WORKOUT WEDNESDAY , consider these questions: What must you give up, fast from, this Lent to become the best version of yourself this Easter? What fasting challenge will you shoulder as your personal cross as you share in the cross of Christ?

He then asked, “Who still wants it?” Still, the hands were up in the air.   “Well,” he replied, “What if I do this?” And he dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. He picked it up, now all crumpled and dirty. “Now, who still wants it?” Still, the hands went into the air.   “My friends, you have all learned a very valuable lesson. No matter what I did to that $20 bill, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth $20.”   Sometimes in our live
