HE BEARS WHAT WE CANNOT

Image
WORKOUT WEDNESDAY A Midweek Spiritual Workout with Fr. Marino H. Msigala, OFM Capuchin   HE BEARS WHAT WE CANNOT Sometimes, God does give us more than we can bear, But never more than He can bear. We were never meant to live on our own. God’s plan has always been to walk beside us… To be all that we are not. That’s why God tells us to cast our cares upon Him… All our cares, especially those we feel we cannot handle. In this life, we will all have  Struggles, Suffering, Trials, Hardships, Losses, Heartbreak… Just remember: God doesn’t give us What we can handle. God helps us  Handle what we are given. On this SPIRITUAL WORKOUT WEDNESDAY , be at peace and trust that we can handle what we are given because it was given to us from the hand of a loving Father.

ITE AD JOSEPH…GO TO JOSEPH!

WEDNESDAY WORKOUT Midweek Spiritual Workout with Fr. Marino H. Msigala, OFM Capuchin ITE AD JOSEPH…GO TO JOSEPH! St. Joseph is a renowned intercessor for many causes. He is the patron of the Universal Church, families, fathers, workers, expectant mothers, travelers, immigrants, and those praying for a happy death in the grace of God.  St. Joseph aids those who entrust themselves to his patronage and obtains many graces for the souls who petition him. As the foster father of Jesus, he is father to each of us. Go to Joseph in times of need. O GLORIOUS St. Joseph, you have the power to make even things that are considered impossible possible; come to our aid in our present trouble and distress. Take this critical and challenging situation under your particular protection so that it may end happily. (Offer your petition) O DEAR St. Joseph, all our confidence is in you. Let it not be said that we would invoke you in vain, and since you are so powerful with Jesus and Mary, show that your...

SOMETIMES…

WORKOUT WEDNESDAY A Midweek Spiritual Workout with Fr. Marino H. Msigala, OFM Capuchin   SOMETIMES… Sometimes, God takes things from us, To teach us obedience. Sometimes, God allows us to fail, So that we can learn and grow. Sometimes, God doesn’t give us quick answers,  So that we can build our trust in Him. Sometimes, God allows us to suffer storms, To remind us that He is the Lord of the winds. Always and everywhere God has a loving purpose  In all that He does. On this SPIRITUAL WORKOUT WEDNESDAY, remember that despite those times we feel that God is not responding, trust that, in the end, His gifts are always more extraordinary and much better than the blessings that we originally asked of Him. His time is not always our time, but His time is always the right time. Trust Him!

POPE FRANCIS’ ADVICE FOR LENT

Image
WORKOUT WEDNESDAY A Midweek Spiritual Workout with Fr. Marino H. Msigala, OFM Capuchin   POPE FRANCIS’ ADVICE FOR LENT Fast from hurtful words and speak kind words. Fast from sadness and pursue joy. Fast from anger and embrace patience. Fast from pessimism and cherish hope. Fast from worry and trust in God. Fast from complaints and be grateful. Fast from stress and seek calm. Fast from bitterness and choose harmony. Fast from selfishness and offer generosity. Fast from grudges and reconcile. Fast from talking and listen. On this SPIRITUAL WORKOUT WEDNESDAY , think about the Pope’s Lenten advice. While you may fast from food and drink during this penitential season, you might also consider fasting from behaviors and emotional responses that disrupt your peace of mind and interfere with your interpersonal relationships.  Remember these words of Jesus, “It’s not what goes into your mouth that defiles you; you are defiled by the words that come out of your mouth.” Matthew 15:11.
